Robotic Prostate Biopsy

Dr. Desai has extensive experience in conducting the robotic targeted prostate biopsy

Information

This has MRI-ultrasound fusion capability, providing visualization and enabling
targeting of the region of interest. Using a software we create a custom biopsy plan
for an individual patient. Based on the biopsy plan, the robotic system then guides the
biopsy needle’s position and depth to the precise targeted core location. The accurate
targeting helps physicians to detect prostate cancer early.
